Anime Weekend Atlanta 23 (o´∀`o)

 

Hi hi!


I don't typically blog about my time at conventions 
since they are usually so busy and I don't want to
think with a blogging mindset.
I just relax and enjoy my time in the moment.

but I really wanted to blog about AWA and Kumoricon!
North West Idol fest was great too but I
didn't take that many photos.

Thursday 

Day zero was super fun!
After getting settled into the hotel room,
me and my friends to Yardhouse for dinner. 

It was surprisingly tasty this time ww

I also went to pick up my badge and found it so funny that this year the badge pick up was in the old movie theater concession stand

I also found it what the hopper is...

Friday 

                    I wore my Tamomo Cross cosplay and got to meet up

with my many great friends who were also cosplaying Umamusume!

I also got to meet FEMM!

I was so excited to actually get to see
them live for the first time!

And I'm so happy I did because unfortunately
they are disbanding soon...

They were so kind and friendly!

They recognized me as an Umamususme and said I was cute.
They laughed when I explained my name was Kohi like the drink.

I waited such a long time in the line since they combined two meet an greet lines together (the majority was for that other group too).

I was never able to get any merch since they
sold out but I was able to get a shikishi!



The concert was so amazing!
They even performed a new song along with
so many of my favorites!

The long line made me pretty tired so I just hung out
with some friends then called it a night.

Saturday

I wore gyaru code so I could be more conformable!

I got word some other gals would been hanging
around so I defiantly wanted to meet up with them!







I had fun chatting with people in the vendors hall!
I found this cute vendor who sold realistic animal ears.

I debated on it but I don't think I'm ready for
whatever avenue that leads me to ww..
But I still think I looked cute!

Later that day I realized FEMM had another signing
so I jumped in line with my friends!

I was debating on asking them if they would sign my thigh,
So I asked them,
AND THEY SAID YES!

I've never had someone famous sign a body part and
I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who asked ww.

I think they enjoyed it though!
When they signed it they kept saying "Sexy Gyaru"
and showed me they also wrote gyaru too!
They also remembered me from the day prior!

I also went to the Asaka concert and she
 was such a great performer!

Great vocals and energy!
Her outfit was also so cute!

Later that night, I was able to find the members of 109 Degrees!
Boy Kuma, Bambi, and Ikementomoe

They were so fun and such a blast to talk with!
I was pretty drunk and wish I chose a better spot for
photos but we still look so cute!

They all looked so stunning in person!

I hope we can meet again some day soon!

Later that night I kept running into so many old friends!
Like within minutes of each other too so I'm sorry if I didn't get to chat super long or was all over the place..

Sadly I also missed meeting up with some others
too but I hope I can fix that next year!

I loved seeing my old pals Cat and Taylor!




Later that night we went on a journey
to get Waffle house.

It was so wild!
The first one we went to was Take-out only.
So we uber-ed to another location, And that waffle house
was closed for another 30 minutes. 

Everyone showing up and finding out it was closed was in such shock.
Since its usually 24/7 but I think it was so the staff could get a break.

We had some very funny conversations with locals while we waited..

But in the end we got to sit and eat Waffle House!
And it was delicious as always!!!



The rest of the evening was just me wandering around drunk till 
I couldn't stay awake anymore so I went to sleep.



Sunday

I was so hung over and sick; I could barely walk around..
My flight wasn't till much later so I wore a
casual gal look and just relaxed.

I also got some gifts for friends and family
 in the vendors hall






I got to spend some more time with friends, then we headed
for one last meal on the way to the airport.


COOK OUT BABY!!

I love Cook Out so much and
missed it so bad!

I got some french fries and a
 fancy shake (with cherry & cheesecake)



I got to ride in my friends rental Tesla on the way to the airport!

We also saw these local stunt bois
doing wheelies and stoppies ww

It was so entertaining to watch
 but I hope they stay safe!

AWA was such a fun time and I would love to try and
make it again next year!
