First Time Camping + Practice Moto Camp(^▽^)/

Hi h!

Finally!
Time for my friend camping trip!

I have only really camped one other time back when I was in High School with a boyfriends parents but I recall barely lifting a finger and remember almost none of it!

Since I had that big Motocamping trip coming up, I really wanted
to do a practice trip before! Field Practice!

I booked a campsite for my partner and some friends!

Only bad news, It was due to Rain..
LIKE ALL DAY!

I gave everyone permission to bail, but I was determined to stick it out!

I didn't want the first time using my gear
to be on the big trip.

Plus if I can tough out the rain,
I'm only stronger and even more prepared!

I practiced packing up my bag and have to
say this was the best I could do so far..

I didn't own any dry duffel bags so I warpped
my backapack around my sleeping bag, covered them in
waterproof backpack covers and saftey pinned it closed.

The rest was held on the wonderful
highly acclaimed "Rok Straps"

Everything felt pretty good and I did a small test ride
that was successful!

Trip to Camp!

Right before we left the rain really started to pick up!
Luckily, I had my (cute) rainsuit!!

Once we arrived at camp the rain picked up eve more and
we realized out fire pit was flooded.

We got to work setting up pop up canopy's,
and the guys took turns scooping the water out
from the pit...

TA-DA!
After a lot of wet-ness..
We finally finished!

However, some of the water was pooling up and
splashing down from one of the canopy.

It started making a big puddle right in front of my tent.

Which then turned into a huge river that went under my tent!!!

We took turns digging out my channels for the water to travel
and decided to go take a break and walk around the beach!

[Spoilers: by the time we got back, the puddle dried up!]

We walked the beach!

Luckily, the rain lightend up too!

Once we got back to our less-flooded camp-site, we started a fire and started preparing for dinner...

And by "We", I mean the guys!
I did a lot of the set up so i laid back and took it easy during dinner.

Most importantly I worked on getting
the party lights strung up!

I saved this fresh pine cone from home for a fire starter, since
I learned that from Yurucamp!
They used normal fire starter items tho...

\Yo!/

Finally getting to use my new Yurucamp mug I got from
Sakuracon Artist Ally! Yay!

I used it for booze tho...ww

Party Vibes!

I went to the fancy camp bathroom
to freshen up!

This dog crawled under the stall to say
hello to me and protect me while using the toilet ww

I though my camp look was cute!
Esp my WC Kumatan beanie I got to
debut wearing for the first time!

The restrooms were heated and very refreshing!
It was a nice break from the muggy chilly air.

After the healthy round of camp bathroom selfies,
I headed back to camp to eat dinner
(And take more selfies)

Dinner time!

After Dinner, we walked around the campsite
and looked at all the nature!

That evening we hung out around the fire chatting
then made some smores and hot cocoa!

It started getting late so I got ready for bed.
(11pm ww)

Good Night!

The next morning was a very brisk morning!
Lots of moisture outside my tent!
But I was warm and dry~

Breakfast time!
Bacon and Eggs- Yum!

Melting cheese for the eggs ww

Packing up camp took a couple hours but
I'd say we did it the best we could!

Especially since almost
everything was very WET!

My partner offered to drive with my bags so
I could ride home without having to worry
about loading my bike!

And luckily, the weather started to clear up
and the ride back so beautiful!

Thanks for reading and
I hope you enjoy my next blog posts!
